Most of us are aware that staying healthy can be quite tasking and overwhelming at times, whether its making it to the gym and sticking with your routine or selecting what to eat on a daily basis. But good things take time and dedication, and the benefits are very rewarding.
For me personally, I like to come up with recipes that are fun and exciting! so today I have two ideas for Breakfast and Lunch that you can make no matter the country you are in because these ingredients can be found worldwide.
BREAKFAST: AVOCADO-EGG SANDWICH
You will need:
- Whole Grain Bread
- Spices eg. chilli, blackpepper & salt
Step 1: Boil the eggs in a pot full of water
Step 2: When has boiled, peel it and put in a bowl add 1tbs of butter and add the spices
Step 3: Remove the Avocado from the skin and add it to the mix
***All mashed up***
Step 4: Lay out the cheese on the bread slices and then add the avocado mix to the sandwich
Step 5: Grill the sandwich in a pan
Step 6: Serve with a glass of milk or juice whichever your prefer
LUNCH: PINEAPPLE RICE
You will need:
- A Pineapple
- Mixed Vegetables
- Spices: salt, knorr cubes, red chilli
Step 1: Parboil the rice ( choose your desired amount)
Step 2: Clean the shrimp and Marinate the it using fresh peppers, salt and black pepper. Place in the fridge once your done
Step 3: Cut the pineapples in half first, then cut a hole in the center, this will act as a serving bowl later. Be sure to dice up whatever you cut out from the center of the pineapple because that will go towards making the rice later on.
Step 4: Chop up some onions and garlic then In a big pot with olive oil as the base, stir fry the onions and garlic
At this stage, I like to add in my desired spices to flavor the food
Step 5: Add in the mixed vegetables, let it sizzle for a bit. Once that’s done, add in the shrimp from the fridge
Step 6: Add in the rice and stir fry for a 5-8 minutes, then lastly add in the pineapples.
Step 7: Serve it in the pineapple bowls *the beer is optional*
***Remember food is all about balance, you cant totally eliminate certain foods but what you can do is proportion and control how to take those certain foods***
